Day 3 & 4

Hi Every One, Welcome to Day 3 and 4.... Another fun-filled day in the life of Passport was yet again had by all. It is so good to hear their enthusiasm about their day at their worksite. Not only about the work they are doing but also the people they encounter and the friends they are making with other youth groups. They are being very inclusive with one another as well as the friends they bring by for us to meet. They are being a great example of the term "hangin' out". Last night was the "Block Party" where they "danced" and mingled. Beth and Samantha seemed to be more instructors to these poor guys they've made friends with who didn't seem to have an ounce of rythum in their bodies. I'm sure the guys were thankful that the block party was only an hour... Today's morning devotion theme is "Extended Grace" God's forgiveness given to us without us earning it. Ephesians 2:4-10. The question that was presented to them was what things in life that you have been given for free with no strings attached? In their Bible study they will be looking at the question of who or what is one person or situation in which you need to extend God's grace. Pray for them as they put these thoughts and questions into action today at their worksite and here on campus that will extend into their character as they grow in their faith. This afternoon after they return from their mission sites, it is our group free time. We took a vote as to what they would like to do and the movies and dinner got the most votes. We will be seeing the movie "BRAVE" rated PG at the Danville Cinemas at 5:15p Please be assured that any one that needs it will be taken cared of for this event. Then we return for worship at 9p. The weather this week has been great for them to work in and has not been a problem. So thank you Lord for meeting our needs. I read something this morning that I thought was pretty cool... "The Bible is the only book whose author is always present when one reads it" Hope you all have a blessed day and know God's grace!
